  1. Version 1.0.0

This is an MP4 PTE show that is linked to my Facebook page. (Don't click on the 'Download this file'. It is just a dummy PTE-DummyExe file that was added just to be able to get past the required upload of a zip file). Here is a link to the show posted on Vimeo (if the Facebook link does not work): https://vimeo.com/313037708
Yea...pretty cool. Lots of work and interesting show.

What's In Your Backyard? This show, 'Three Hot Dogs and a Fox', was created from video clips from a trail camera in my backyard. Just for fun... Gary

Greetings, This project is a very short show that I made from some GoPro video clips using their Quik video editing program. The Quik program is very limiting and basic but kind of fun to play with. But you need PTE to add beginning/ending frames and text. Have a taste of my Salmon Soup. (I published it at 60fps.) Gary
David... very cool and entertaining!!!!! Gary

Greetings, Yesterday, May 7th, was the commemoration of the 72nd anniversary of the liberation of the Nazis' Mauthausen concentration camp by the U.S. forces in 1945. Our newspaper had a small notice. I thought it deserved more. Gary

    Jardin

    Version 2.0.0

This show is about our road trip from Medellin to Jardin, Colombia, to see if we could find the Andean Cock-of-the-Rock. Though it is the national bird of Peru, you can find them in Colombia, if you know where to look. My good friend, who lives in Medellin and is an excellent birder, knew where to find them. So here is a look at the town of Jardin and the beautiful Cock-of-the-Rock. There is also a few shots I took of an Olinguito, a newly discovered (in 2013) carnivore. To get under the upload size limitation, I had to remove one video clip and reduce the quality of the other. Critiques welcomed. Come take a trip….Gary
Greetings akirkby57... I just made a reply but I think it did not get posted because I did not give myself a rating...so I am trying again (pardon for my 5* rating). I am not sure why you had a problem with the show. Since you are the only one to post this problem out of over 80 downloads, perhaps you downloaded the wrong version??? I just downloaded the Windows version and it played just fine. I can't check the Mac version since I don't have a Mac. Please let me know if you can resolve the problem with this show. Thanks... Gary
  7. Version V9 Beta15

Greetings, On our road trip in Italy from Naples to Palermo, we just happened to stop in this town for a cappuccino one morning. It was just a serendipity moment that I recommend to anyone to make a stop here. (Made in V9 Beta15, with Frame and Masks.) 3:30 (Oh, yea...I ordered a Fiasconaro Panettone in Castelbuono and it came yesterday...mmmmmm good) Gary
Very well done. Besides the excellent photography, the show is interesting and well developed. I liked the black and white. But the music is the glue that holds the story together. It is difficult to find music and implement it well. And this is a job well done. Thanks... Gary
  8. Version - MP4

This show is some video taken while kayaking down the upper Zambezi river in Zimbabwe, just above Victoria Falls, with my wife, niece and nephew. The video was taken years ago with a Hi8 camera, so the resolution is 720x480. The file is in MP4 format because the size of the exe is way too big. Plus, the MP4 format will give you the ability to scale down the playing size so the pixilation might not be too bad. I ran it through Mercalli to help somewhat to stabilize the video. These inflatable ‘kayaks’ were really unstable. One guy was quite large and kept falling out of the kayak. At one point, we saw a huge hippo lunging toward him, mouth wide open. We all yelled for him to ‘paddle fast’. And thankfully, he did and he did not fall out of the kayak. Unfortunately, I was also too busy paddling away to film it. I was afraid of getting the video camera wet so I brought along a couple plastic garbage bags. When things got rough, I wrapped it up. That was a good thing because on one rapid, I got tossed out with the camera, but it came out unscathed. Hope you enjoy the trip. Gary Oddi

    Parapente

Thanks Eddy. I made another version using the music that was used in Mark Allen's Iceland show. Really dramatic music and it changes the mood. Kinda neat. Gary

Lin...Since you mentioned it, I have been running the video clips through Mercalli SAL3. Not real happy with the results but they do get a bit stabilized. I am not real sure how to set some of the sliders to improve the results. Thanks... Gary

    Parapente

Hmmmm.... I might try that. I have dabbled a bit with stabilizing programs but I have not really been satisfied with the results. Maybe I will give it another shot. I thought that not stabilizing it gave it a more realistic look. Lots of shaking going on. :-) Thanks... Gary

Greetings, This is a slideshow of my wife and I and a couple friends paragliding (parapente) in Colombia in December. I enjoy creating stories by combining videos with still images. PTE allows this to be easily done. I like the fact that you can extract the audio from the video and place it in the audio track to have complete control over it. Most of the videos and stills were taken with a Nikon D7000 DSLR, 18-200mm lens. A couple of videos clips were taken with a Nikon AW100 pocket camera. The slideshow is posted in MP4 format because the EXE format came out about 3 times larger. So I just got it under the maximum allowable size for the Slideshow club. I hope you enjoy it. Any comments welcomed. Gary
  13. Excellent!!! I have driven through Namibia but had not seen this aspect of Namibia. Well done!!!

Greetings, After I posted my previous Bungee-SloMo show, Tom asked how the bungee jumper was retrieved after the jump, I discovered I had a clip of a bungee jump from another angle and it shows how they are retrieved. This is a short video clip of a retrieval. The video is from a Hi8 tape that I digitized so the quality is not very good, but I hope it entertains. It is a good thing that they don't just drop them off at the bottom with the crocodiles! While creating this show, I learned a bit more for presenting videos by using the Video and Border menu. It was very helpful in trimming off the fuzzy edges that you get when you digitize Hi8 tape (at least it happened to me). Gary

This is a PTE show with only video. The goal of this production was to create a show with a slow-motion video clip that is inserted into the main video. I also wanted to see if I could do it with a fade-in and a fade- out of the slo-mo video. The slo-mo portion of the show was created in the trial version of ProDad ReSpeedr. I cropped out the logos that the trial version puts in. The video quality is not too good because it originally was a Hi8 video that I digitized. Just hope you enjoy it. Comments, of course, welcomed.
  16. Version - Version 2

[Note: This is a rework of my first submission of this show. A comment was made that the different aspect ratios of the images and the drop shadow were distracting. The aspect ratios were different because most of the images needed to leveled and transformed which caused a difference in cropping each image. I found a way in PTE to easily make the horizontal and vertical images, respectively, the same size, and I put a small border around the images. I hope this is a better show.] ‘Russian Onions’ is a collection of the distinctive architectural church domes I photographed on a recent trip to Russia. These domes were created to allow the weight of the heavy Russian snows to slide off. Though I was captivated by these domes, I was even more impressed attending the Orthodox services in the churches. However, in most of them, photography was not permitted. One that allows photography is the Church of Our Savior on Spilled Blood in St. Petersburg (the last set of images). (3:41)

    Russian Onions

Greetings Igor, No disrespect intended. I just wanted to have the title to be a little bit of a play on words or a bit of humor. Gary

Jim, I think all or most of the churches are now used as churches. A few have been made 'museums' and you can take photos inside them. I am no expert on this. The best experience was to be in the church during a service. Quite impressive. We saw a few weddings taking place too, in churches. Thanks... Gary
