Quite an interesting landscape. Seeing the kids in school uniforms and the man walking about with a cellphone seems incongruous with the look of the place. But then I am judging it by western "standards" Nicely produced presentation Cor!

Great show. Much to my liking. I read Bert's review and downloaded your show immediately. The only thing I would have liked was a slowdown of the individual slides. I love the old movie sets and this looks like a fantastic one and I know I'll never see it in person so thank you so much for posting.

Knappe fotografie, goede montage. De vele toeristen van de 5 cruiseschepen waren tijdens je fotograferen gelukkig op hun boot...

Outstanding Barry. You never cease to amaze me. You are the one that introduced me to PTE many moons ago from the UK, and the source of inspiration on how to add impact to my AV attempts. Be a while before I get to this level though! What a beautiful continent Australia is! Dick

Dear oh dear oh dear! I think I need to find a new hobby Barry. I would be very happy to have any of these images to my name. A brilliant presentation. Who cares about cardinal rules when we can just sit and look at wonderful images with an easy and instructional commentary. I think your trip was well worth it on the basis of the two AVs we have seen so far. Excellent and thank you. Anthony

I've been quick off the mark this time. As usual, a very well put together sequence with you usual expert photography. You certainly have a very good eye for a photograph especially if a bicycle or motorbike comes into view. Mickp

    Driven to Abstraction

A general comment to cover several of your recent shows, which sadly have received few reviews. An eclectic range of A/V's showing a broad range of your interests in a number of subjects. Excellent photography throughout and demonstrating a very good knowledge of the range of features available in PTE. Your choice of music is very good and adds to the enjoyment. One thing I don't like is the very stark wide border you use and perhaps a thinner border in an off-white would be less distracting. Despite the lack of comments, please keep up the good work. Mickp

    SPRING

Hello Maureen, For some inexplicable reason I had trouble downloading this AV. Came back after lunch and bingo! Certainly worth it too. On a very cold miserable wet day to suddenly be taken to the beautiful pastoral scenes of your AV has brought the sun out here if only for a moment or two. Lovely images and fades filling my screen. Just a wonderful package to view. Hence a well deserved 5 stars Thank you.

    Nieu-Bethesda

A very interesting story and very well illustrated with some very good photography and good use of transitions and animations. Sadly the V/O recording has let it down but i am sure there are plenty of people on this site who could offer practical tips to improve this. lets hope they do. Mickp

    India

An excellent snapshot of India. I liked the way you moved from Poverty to Opulence and then to Beauty as the music moved from sorrowful to inspiring and then to quiet. Possibly I may have moved some of the shots slightly to fit in with this theme but that is a matter of opinion and as you were there you would know best. Well done and thanks for sharing.

    The Lost Classics

An excellent demonstration of your photographic, Photoshop and A/V skills. Certainly a place to go for "grunge" but not my scene. Maybe one of two headlights too many?

Colin, Excellent photography, making good use of HDR, and suitable choice of music. Maybe the ambient sounds could have been slightly louder and I note the miss-spelling of the town of Whitstable. My tip, if it is to be shown to an audience, titles at the top of the screen are more visible. Look forward to Part 2. Regards, Roger.

As expected, beautiful presentation of fine photography. I'm sure the sequence must represent well the beauty of the area. I consider this as tasteful use of HDR, and I appreciated the consistent level of processing on the variety of images.

Very nice views all expertly photographed with the HDR bringing out some nice skies. Excellent Web site as well. Mickp

Brilliantly put together. There is a specific tranquility and calmness that speaks deep into one's soul. It is just a pity that when I was there, a church service was in progress, so we could not go in. Well done.

    A Cape Malay Story

Robert, I liked your show very much and you did a great job of explaining the origins of this section. Having visited Cape Town 2 years ago and seeing the Malay section at that time, it was interesting to hear more about the background of the place. Great shots of this colorful section and the people. The music made it come together.

Eddy, I finally figured out how to write a review and how to give stars. As I wrote you in the comment, You have made a beautiful show of a place we seldom see much of. Your portraits of these dignified people and the placement of them in the image was masterful. Thanks for showing, Bert

I clearly remember the original Barry so thought I would see it again as you had 'changed' it. Initially Norton had other ideas and didn't like it at all but after 3 attempts I managed to beat their system and it downloaded. Thoroughly enjoyed it a second time round. A excellent mix of your techniques that I and others have used over the years. Well done. Good to see it once more. Anthony

An excellent update of the original show, Barry. I still have the pages of tutorials copied from Digital Photo mag which someone gave to me to start me off. Maureen
