Rocky Mountain Kids

Hi Lin,

I liked your show, very need how in the first few images you went over the rocks and established the landscape.  I Liked all the animals you photographed, specially the young ones.

If you still have the PTE file, I would suggest to make this a 9 x 16 format show, I have done that with a few older shows, and they look better on the monitors we have today.

Hi Bert - thanks!  Unfortunately it was nearly nine years ago and I no longer have the PTE file....

Correction: The images per EXIF were from 2005 but the show was made with beta 16 of Version 6.0 about 4 years ago as best I can determine. I can't find the PTE file....

Hey Lin...enjoyed your show.  When did you take the photos of the goats and kids...they are wonderful?  In 1988 I made the mistake of climbing up Mt. Ebert instead...but I can see Evans has a better view.  That Pika shot is great.  I love the little guys and always look forward to hearing them and the Marmot whistle.  Buck would chase the marmots as he knew their whistle.  He also chased a wolf one time and the wolf ran right in front of me.  No camera of course.  I've only seen these kind of goats in Glacier and up in Canada.  My shots are nothing compared to your shots.  Really Lin...they are terrific shots and all the better since they are in their homeland.  All the best to you.

Thanks! I just checked the EXIF and it says July of 2005 for the goats and kids and the marmot was on the same day. The Pika was the following week from about 13,000 feet on the same mountainI was using a Sigma SD15 with a Sigma 80-400 OS lens which with the 1.7x crop puts it at an effective 680 mm.  Isn't that the way it goes - you get a once in a lifetime opportunity and no camera!!

There doesn't seem to be too many people posting right now - but it usually happens in groups for whatever reason. Probably when the first beta of 8.5 is released - most likely then end of October, we will see new shows posted.

Enjoyed your show and thought the initial opening excellent as it gave an indication of the setting and the height you were at.  Didn't really see the need to flip the title though.    The close up of the flowers were delightful and of course of the animals.  It seemed that two of the younger goats were the ones you used in a demo  years ago!

Great Show Lin! The kids are so close it makes me want to reach out to them. I take it that your namesake mountain is calling you for an annual memory trek! Especially enjoyed the lead-in to where you are and the mix of flowers wildlife and other vegetation. Brought me memories of travelling in the Canadian Rockies with my parents as a young lad...great to revisit the grandeur.
