The Fire Trail
This is the second (very short) slide show to enable me to show some of the earliest Infra-Red images I have taken with a Canon 5D Mk2 camera converted to shoot Infra-Red.
This is one of the most interesting and stimulating photographic projects I have had for a long time. Both from a taking point of view and also the manipulating of infra-red images. However, I am well aware that with audio visual we can sometimes get so wrapped up in our own projects that we fail to see that we are boring the pants off of everyone else but ourselves.
I hope not

In a cold Christmas's night
By Jean-Cyprien
It's not the real title, but I prefer to let you discover this tale. Perhaps you may guess its story before the end ?
Note. Each day during the Advent's time, an AV is offered on the French forum Diapositif.net as a present of an Advent Calendar.
It was my turn the 12th December of 2012. The "12.12.12" has no other meaning for the AV.

Swiss Odyssey
By tva1840
This is a "talkie", though I don't say much, I don't need to. A show based on my trips to the spectacular scenery of the Jungfrau region of the Bernese Oberland in Switzerland. Worth every penny.

A Trip on the Talyllyn Railway
By johnwnjr
One of my earliest film slide sequences "A trip on the Tallyllyn Railway" recently scanned and remade. The train you see is the one you hear, as I was there when the recording was made. It was an exercise in getting the sense of travelling with still photos by making a suitable soundtrack.

Colonia Tovar
This project is based on the intensive use (perhaps excessive) of animated movement, rhythm and timing, around the theme "A German town in Venezuelaâ€.
Any positive or negative feedback is welcome.

Inclement Weather
The images used for this sequence were shot in Scotland during 2008, so you could ask what took you so long. There is quite a gap between what we see with our eyes and what our cameras can capture and despite knowing this we can still be fooled sometimes.
Fooled into thinking that those flat, colourless raw thumbnails have little to offer. However, come back some time later, in our case 6 years later and you may see those same images in a completely different way to how you did at the time they were taken. In addition those 6 years make a lot of difference to your skills with working through raw images and in those years Photoshop has vastly improved the tools that allow us to bridge that gap between what we can see and what we can capture. This sequence is as a result of looking back.
I have also used sound effects to try and establish a mood, but whether that as been successful, only time will tell

Russian Onions
By goddi1
[Note: This is a rework of my first submission of this show. A comment was made that the different aspect ratios of the images and the drop shadow were distracting. The aspect ratios were different because most of the images needed to leveled and transformed which caused a difference in cropping each image. I found a way in PTE to easily make the horizontal and vertical images, respectively, the same size, and I put a small border around the images. I hope this is a better show.]
‘Russian Onions’ is a collection of the distinctive architectural church domes I photographed on a recent trip to Russia. These domes were created to allow the weight of the heavy Russian snows to slide off. Though I was captivated by these domes, I was even more impressed attending the Orthodox services in the churches. However, in most of them, photography was not permitted. One that allows photography is the Church of Our Savior on Spilled Blood in St. Petersburg (the last set of images). (3:41)

WW1 Short V
By johnwnjr
As a local memorial sequence for the people of Alcester this reflects Alcester, Warwickshire, Before, During and After World War 1. The pieces of music selected from AKM Historic CD Album suggests Foreboding, Peacefulness, The War, Celebration and Memorial Dedication. The Pictures are from the 1900 to 1921. The sequence is intended to run as a repeating (kiosk) showing in a Globe House public exhibition during August, advertising a fuller version to be shown publically on September 5th. The full version has already been shown to 140 people at a British Legion Meeting for their funds, and it was estimated that twice the number of tickets could have been sold. It was sold out a fortnight before the event!

The author of this presentation is Bob Godfrey
I met Bob Godfrey through the slide show that is published here. Bob had been involved with photography most of his life and when I saw this sequence shown in an AV competition I contacted Bob and asked if I could show this to some of our UK friends. Not only did he agree, but we became mates and we had some great caravan/photography trips together over the past 5 years.
Sadly, Bob had a long term illness that took him from us in June this year, he was 72. Bob was always keen to share his audio visuals and he would love to know that even after he had gone, he was making people smile. I think this slide show sums up the Australian spirit & humour and particularly Bob's spirit.
I hope it makes you smile too

ILULISSAT AND THE ICE FJORD
By Lakelandlass
Icebergs are called Ilulissat in Greenlandic. Ilulissat is the third largest town in Greenland and is set in marvellous surroundings at Ilulissat Icefjord which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here enormous icebergs run aground at the mouth of the fjord, just outside the town, which originate from the Jakobshavn Glacier, one of the most productive glaciers in the northern hemisphere.
These photographs were taken on a recent visit in early June this year.
