Cold War Scrapyard
Audio Visual can be many things to many people, but a lot of photographers use it as a vehicle to display the many images they create. We visit places of interest and shoot lots of images, but what do we do with them. If you are a Camera Club member, you may be searching for that elusive competition winner, but you will have lots of others that are still worth viewing.
Here we have a collection of images shot in just a couple of hours at Newark Air Museum in the UK. Once we have taken the images we need to find a way to display them in such a way that the Audio Visual sequence becomes a photographic free standing project as a whole. We are looking to present the pictures not as a simple batch of images, but something a little better than that. (if we can)
Music is crucial to the mood we are trying to create and often difficult to find. Then we still have to manipulate the images in a way we feel is fitting to the music and the presentation as a whole.
Have we been successful? Its always difficult to tell, because we get so wrapped up in our own project and spend so much time on it, our judgement sometimes becomes a little blurred

Contrast
After our visit back to England from Australia in 2014, I found I didn't have enough images taken in Cumbria (The Lake District) to be able to make the slide show I had hoped for. Lighting and weather conditions in the short time we were there, just didn't play ball. So, when that happens you have to capture what you can.
I was looking for some music for a Lakeland AV, but was beginning to come to the conclusion that I didn't have enough good images for a Lakeland Audio Visual anyway. Then an idea came to me. I wondered if I could create a mixture of images and music from England and Australia to show some of the contrasts between them
The sequence contains 4 pieces of music and a sound effect. There are about 60 images, the vast majority of them shot in the past few months. These Audio Visual sequences are a labour of love, with many hours committed to the creation of the images and the final slide show.

Alpha and Omega
By snapcam
The morning started with clear skies and a promise of a 95% Solar Eclipse.
At the appointed hour just as the eclipse was to begin the cloud cover arrived.
Initial disappointment waned as the moving cloud created ever changing images with glimpses of the eclipse through the breaks.
Even missing the maximum eclipse and the finish as the cloud thickened was eased by the images recorded through the cloud.
Anyway, there's always 2026 I think for the next time !

Impressions of Venice
By snapcam
We had an opportunity to visit Venice for a day while in Italy last year.
It proved to be very overcast and dull except of course when we were taking out leave and then it was glorious sunshine.
I hope you enjoy the images as much as we enjoyed Venice.
The music is Vivaldi. When in Venice I discovered the composer was a priest there and spent most of his life in the city of thought it appropriate.

The Bannack Album
By Bert
A show of the preserved (not restored) historic mining town of Bannack in the Western USA.
I wanted to make a slideshow that somehow connected with the people who had lived there 150 years ago.
The template of the album was some years ago supplied by 'trailertrash"

We are Giants
By snapcam
My sons and grandsons decided I was going to see the Belfast Giants Ice Hockey match over Christmas 2014.
This is a sequence of the pictures I took. All shots are from the one position i.e. my seat so the quality of some may suffer from such a high speed sport. Sound was recorded live on the night.

Parapente
By goddi1
Greetings,
This is a slideshow of my wife and I and a couple friends paragliding (parapente) in Colombia in December. I enjoy creating stories by combining videos with still images. PTE allows this to be easily done. I like the fact that you can extract the audio from the video and place it in the audio track to have complete control over it. Most of the videos and stills were taken with a Nikon D7000 DSLR, 18-200mm lens. A couple of videos clips were taken with a Nikon AW100 pocket camera. The slideshow is posted in MP4 format because the EXE format came out about 3 times larger. So I just got it under the maximum allowable size for the Slideshow club. I hope you enjoy it. Any comments welcomed. Gary

Pictures at an Exhibition kb control
By tva1840
As requested this version is keyboard controlled. Press the Spacebar to pause and press again to continue. I don't normally allow keyboard control because of copyright. But what the heck, these are images of some of the most famous paintings in the world and so not mine, hope you enjoy. They are worth lingering on. I certainly lingered when I saw them for real. Be aware though that some are cropped because of the aspect ratio used.

Pictures at an Exhibition
By tva1840
Modest Mussorgsky visited an art exhibition and set to music his interpretation of the pictures he viewed. I'm not that clever so have done it the other way around and set pictures to his music. The music is over 30 minutes long but the show certainly isn't. Took a long time to shoot all the images I have used, but visited some very famous galleries all over europe, during my usual tourist travels. This show is priceless, well the paintings are anyway. Hope you enjoy.

Burma and its Buddhism
By Eddy Roose
Buddhism in Burma (also known as Myanmar) is predominantly of the Theravada tradition, practised by 89% of the country's population. It is the most religious Buddhist country in terms of the proportion of monks in the population and proportion of income spent on religion. Monks are venerated members of Burmese society. The monks wear red/maroon coloured robes and the nuns pink coloured robes with a sash over their left shoulder.

Burma - A Buddhist Home for Aged Orphan People
By Eddy Roose
In the Burmese Buddhist tradition elderly people are usually taken care of by family, they don’t live in retirement homes like we do in the West. But the residents of the Buddhist Home for Aged People don’t have any family members, so they are considered orphans, needing to be taken care of by the community. There is only one nurse taking care of more than 80 people, so they take care of each other. Beautiful people all. They live on donations from Buddhist people.

"China Light Zoo" Antwerp
By Kingcanon
During the Christmas and New Year's period Antwerp Zoo arranged what they called "China Light Zoo".
It reminded me of the few times I was in Taiwan during the "Lantern Festival", a light festival taking place every year on the 15th day of the new Chinese Lunar Year.
It is my very first show here on this "Slideshowclub" site, so I hope you enjoy it.
